This musical tour around the island paradise that is Oahu brings the magic and mystique of this tropical island to life. Whether you're snorkeling in gorgeous Hanauma Bay or performing at Brigham Young University (BYU), the fun is non-stop. The festival itself features a myriad of opportunities for instrumental and vocal groups to get professional adjudication while performing in lovely city squares and parks, churches, schools and historic landmarks.

You may be interested in music clinics at the University of Hawaii and BYU-Hawaii, or school exchange concert opportunities. Other island highlights include the Horizons show at the Polynesian Cultural Center, a visit to the world's largest pineapple maze at the Dole Plantation, a historic tour of Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Battleship Missouri, shopping, and cruises along the shore of Waikiki. One thing is sure; you'll discover the splendor and history that have made Honolulu such an intriguing destination.

About Honolulu, Oahu

Honolulu is capital and largest city of Hawaii, with a population of 365,272. Located on the southeast coast of Oahu, Honolulu's harbor was first entered by Europeans in 1794 and soon gained prominence as a whaling and sandalwood port. Today it is a major tourist center. Beyond its wondrous landscape and beaches, the island of Oahu is also home to the only royal palace in the United States (Iolani Palace), as well as some of the oldest plant forms on Earth (Foster Botanical Garden). The most notable tourist hub on Oahu is, of course, Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.
