Old Saybrook High School
“In short, we loved it. This was our first successful trip to someplace that wasn't Disney World, and that's a big deal for our little town. In fact, the town next door is now thinking about planning their own music trip to New Orleans. They've asked for copies of our itinerary, and we'll pass that along, as well as a recommendation for Gateway.”

Perform & Serve
Performance opportunities and service projects abound! Totino-Grace High School show choir, from Minnesota, wanted a tour that was well-rounded with meaningful performances, fun and relaxation, as well as volunteerism. They had a particularly positive experience during an exchange concert at St. Petersburg Catholic School in Florida. Following the standing-room only performance and student exchange, the group painted and cleaned an old church to be refurbished into a new community center. The reward? Fun in the sun, relaxing on a cruise the rest of their tour.
Hastings High School Choirs
Hastings High School Choirs from Hastings, Minnesota just returned from another tour with Gateway and helped us inaugurate our newest destination, the Florida Keys. Their performances were undoubtedly the highlight of the tour. Four choirs performed for an audience of hundreds at Fort Lauderdale’s downtown outdoor amphitheater, Huizenga Plaza. The students also participated in an exchange with Palm Beach Atlantic University Choir and took time for a volunteer project.
“We thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour to the Florida Keys and Fort Lauderdale. The tour was well organized and there was a great balance between scheduled events and leisure time. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more economical option for student travel. The hotels were excellent properties in great locations and provided value to the students and chaperones. As always, our tour experience was exceptional. Every detail was well thought out and any issues that arose during the tour were quickly resolved. Gateway continues to set the benchmark for student travel. Thanks for a great week – we look forward to another tour in two years.”

“I want to give you feedback from the choir trip to Florida – simply, it was a GREAT trip!! You need to know that the travel company, Gateway [Music Festivals & Tours], and our tour manager were absolutely incredible! Our Gateway tour manager was with us the entire time, incredibly organized, friendly, accessible, and all about making sure our group received a great experience. This was a great trip and a feather in our cap as a school. After seeing how hard the music staff works in preparation and on the tour, it simply is not about them! It is about providing students a great experience to perform, developing positive relationships, providing an experience some students may never have and representing our school and choir program well. I am already looking forward to the next one!”
